BACKGROUND
Born, raised and educated in New York, Suzy began her career in the accounting industry as an auditor for an international accounting firm, traveling to various businesses and working closely with their owners. This paved the way for Suzy to observe individuals' lifestyles and nutrition habits as she joined clients in morning breakfast meetings, mid-day lunches and late night meetings... often fueled by caffeine and sugar.
Suzy went on to work internally at large companies in the advertising and entertainment industry. During this time she continued to be amazed at how individuals were fueling their bodies with junk foods, eating on the run and neglecting their health.
When Suzy, her husband and their 3 year-old son relocated to Dallas, Texas she was pregnant with their second son, and was excited to embrace a healthier lifestyle that she hoped the warmer climate would provide. Several years later after the birth of their third child, a daughter, Suzy noticed that despite the joy she felt in raising her family and working with small business owners, her own health and well being began to suffer.
Struggling with weight gain, hair loss, anxiety, depression and terrible fatigue, Suzy was advised to turn to prescription medications after jumping from doctor to doctor, unable to get to the root cause of her problems. After several years of pill popping she became frustrated with this solution, and the side effects these medications caused. This, aside from the fact they were doing very little to help her.
This forced Suzy to search for alternative solutions which led her to study at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), where she began implementing the dietary and lifestyle choices she was studying. Suzy was able to heal herself through a clean, nutrient-dense whole food diet, and by incorporating lifestyle choices that promote good mental and physical health.
She is now medication free and is a Certified Health Coach through IIN where she teaches and supports individuals & groups how to live happy, healthy lives through nutrition and lifestyle changes that produce lasting results.
